This Privacy Policy explains how ePdf Scanner ("the app", "we", "us") handles your information. The same policy applies to both the iOS and Android versions of the app.
We do not operate any backend server and we do not ask you to sign in. We do not collect, store, or transmit your name, email, contacts, location, or the photos, documents or text you scan or create. All of that stays on your device.
Your scanned pages (the original photos and your edits such as crop, rotation and filters), the PDF documents you create, folders, text recognized from your pages for search, saved signatures and your app settings are stored only in the app's private storage on your device. They are never uploaded to us. You can delete any document, folder or saved signature inside the app at any time, and uninstalling the app removes all of this data from your device. Files you choose to share, save to Files/storage, or export as images leave the app only at your request, to the destination you pick.
The app requests the following permissions, and uses them only for the stated purpose:
The free version of the app displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. Users with an active Premium purchase do not see ads and no ads are loaded for them. We request non-personalized ads only, and the iOS app does not request App Tracking Transparency permission, so it does not access your Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA). To serve and measure ads, Google and its partners may still collect certain device information, such as the Google Advertising ID on Android, IP address, device type, and general usage data. This data is collected by Google, not by us.
In regions where consent is required (such as the EEA and the UK), the Android app shows Google's consent form before any ads are loaded, and you can change your choice later from Settings → Ad privacy options in the app.

The app is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can address it.
Because your data is stored only on your device, its security depends primarily on the security of your device. We recommend using a device passcode and keeping your operating system up to date.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
